
On 10 February 2026, Islamabad will host the Investment and Finance Summit for the Environmental and Social sustainability of the Ship Recycling Industry of Pakistan. The event will bring together stakeholders from the investment and finance community, CEOs of ship recycling companies, shipowners or operators, and representatives from the donor countries and international financial institutions. Organized by the International Maritime Organization, in collaboration with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs of Pakistan and the International Labour Organization (ILO), the event is an opportunity to witness the current scenario of the ship recycling industry in Pakistan, understand the infrastructure and investment needs and determine business and profitability prospects.
